As school ends and summer begins, families are looking for meaningful and enjoyable activities for their children. Families are encouraged to consider participating in CPH Reads, the Concordia Publishing House summer reading program. From May 31 through August 12, children can report their reading and earn points for a chance to win CPH prizes.
Children who read each day build on their language, conversation, and social-emotional skills. This program encourages children to read all summer, experiencing great books and learning more about their Savior. It also encourages parents to be involved in their children’s spiritual lives.
What to do:
- Visit cph.org/reads to register now. CPH Reads | A reading adventure that’s all about Jesus.
- Log any book read between May 31 and August 12. Readers will earn points and be entered for a chance to win a prize.
While the CPH Reads program encourages readers to check out the publishing house’s selection of books, students can log any book that they read. Reading every day is proven to be beneficial for children regardless of the book, but CPH also uses this program to emphasize children’s faith formation, which can be aided by resources that CPH has to offer. The selection of CPH books categorized by age can be found at cph.org/reads.
