In Ruth E. Meyer’s debut novel, Grace Alone, readers will meet two sinful people, experience two messy lives, and discover one forgiving God. For anyone who has ever made a mistake, Grace Alone is a story about forgiveness, hope, and grace in the midst of life—however messy it may be.
A single mother of four, Grace Williams doesn’t go to church (nor does she want to), has a stressful relationship with her ex-husband, and has a host of other challenges. Her already complicated life becomes more complicated when she meets David. To top it off, he wants her to change.
“Grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, and open the pages of Ruth Meyer’s book, Grace Alone. This is contemporary Christian fiction at its finest,” says Janice Wendorf, past LWML president. “The characters are the people you meet in your daily walk: your family, friends, neighbors, and the people in your worship community. People who are flawed, carry baggage, and [are] in need of God’s grace. Take a trip to Mapleport, Michigan, and see how Meyer weaves a tale that will stay with you long after you finish reading.”
