Middle and high school students are often at the point in life when they struggle to find themselves and their identity. Finding identity can be hard for teens as many obstacles come with that time of life. These can include worrying about other people’s opinions or the pressure to alter their true personalities to fit in with their peers. During this time, it is important for young people to learn that their true identity is found in Christ.

Your Unshakable Identity in Christ is a youth Bible study focused on the struggles of being a teenager or young adult in today’s society. This six-week Bible study, written by Rev. Wayne Palmer, allows teens to discover that their identity is deeply rooted in Christ and helps them answer the question “Who am I?” Rev. Palmer says this study offers plenty of benefits to youth, stating, “Whatever you are and whatever you do, with Christ at your side, your life will have a huge impact on the world, and your identity will be unshakable.”

Your Unshakable Identity in Christ Bible study includes the stories of these six biblical figures:

  • Noah
  • Bezalel
  • Jonathan
  • Elisha
  • Daniel
  • Peter

Each lesson includes background, Scripture, and discussion questions on how God has established our identity. Students will discover how these Bible stories apply to their lives and find hope that God makes their lives meaningful.

The Bible stories and characters relate to the relevant struggles that youth face daily. The discussions will help students open up to one another and feel comfortable sharing who they really are. This Bible study is an excellent opportunity for students to feel vulnerable in a safe environment that allows them to express their struggles to leaders, friends, and classmates.

Your Unshakable Identity in Christ is a downloadable PDF that includes student and leader pages for each lesson. The PDF can be printed out or used as a digital Bible study.
