The Defense Never Rests—Second Edition is a powerful critique of American Christianity viewed through the lens of the author’s faith journey. Available now from Concordia Publishing House, The Defense Never Rests brings an honest approach to apologetics that tackles the tough questions of faith while providing a no-holds-barred critique of shallow, pop-culture worship trends.

“St. Peter calls us to be prepared to make a defense of the faith to those who ask for reasons,” says Michael Horton, the J. Gresham Machen Professor of Theology at Westminster Seminary California and co-host of The White Horse Inn. “Since ‘defense’ (apologia) was typically used of defending a case in court, it makes sense that good lawyers make good apologists. Cutting to the chase, Craig Parton knows the objections to Christianity and is ready with clear, concise, and convincing answers. The Defense Never Rests is a peerless introduction to the case for the Gospel.”

The Defense Never Rests—Second Edition includes new material addressing the challenges of New Atheism, Bart Ehrman, and the new wave of biblical criticism. It is available now for purchase at cph.org.
