On March 8, Concordia Publishing House will release a new Bible study from author Cindy Steinbeck. The Rock Speaks is based on 1 Corinthians 10:4: “All drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock . . . and the Rock was Christ.”
“In The Rock Speaks, we will study the words of the faithful, who were moved by rock in its many forms,” says author Cindy Steinbeck. “Our faith will be challenged and moved to a deeper understanding and appreciation of how God moves for us, in us, and through us.”
Drawing from images used throughout the Scriptures, The Rock Speaks is a stepping-stone to a deeper search of God’s Word and a call to grow in faith. Drawing from the author’s extensive agricultural experience, the ten lessons guide the reader to see God’s magnificent creation in many forms of rock—dust and sand, soil and mountains—all the while pointing the reader to Jesus.
The Rock Speaks includes discussion questions appropriate for individual or small-group Bible study.
